An unrivalled site
Nestled in the foothills of the Massif des Maures in the Var, Chateau Maravenne is surrounded by gentle slopes providing a sumptuous panorama over the islands of Port Cros, Porquerolles and the Levant.
Award winning skills
The Chateau de Maravenne has received, over the last 40 years, many awards from professional wine-tasters. Every year the estate receive more than 10 medals from the largest competitions (Paris, Macon, etc...).
New-comers to wine making
The Chateau Maravenne was created after the second world war and the Venturini-Audinet family took over in 2012.
Karine and Alexandre AUDINET, and their daughter Margaux, took up the reins of the domain October 2013 thus commencing their new life as wine-makers. Lovers of good wine, but lacking specialist knowledge in this highly complex profession, they threw themselves body and soul into this, with the help of their friends in the surrounding domains, and their families, and particularly Raphael Venturini. Karine looks after the communication, the guest houses and bed and breakfast, the receptions and the administration. Alexandre has found a new passion in land management, wine-making and sales development.
The staff have remained loyal to the Chateau, and Karine and Alexandre have taken their places in a family atmosphere. Their wish is to live in harmony with nature, developing the organic approach and increasing the quality of the soils and the wine-making, in order to produce some of the best Provence wines and promote the exceptionnal terroir that is La Londe Les Maures.
A shared heritage
Chateau Maravenne has, since 2009, become home to a unique and unmissable museum of life size automatons. The museum recounts the authentic story of a wine-growing family at the beginning of the 20th century, set in reconstituated scenes : a moment of awe and wonder for all ages.
